Description

This interactive workshop will explore and demystify the concepts of power, privilege, oppression, and systemic injustice.  It will guide participants through a reflective activity to consider and employ critical self-reflection in health-care practice while treating diverse patient populations.  The goal is for participants to feel equipped and empowered to take accountability for our (sometimes unconscious) discriminatory behaviours, and to collaboratively identify practices to respond to and address microaggressions in the learning environment.
