This individual has had impact in the field and practice of Faculty Development as a whole, at the local, national, and international level.
About Lindsay Baker
With nearly two decades of experience in faculty development as a researcher, program developer, teacher and leader, Lindsay has dedicated her career to bridging the gap between education theory, science, and practice. Her work is grounded in a commitment to meeting the diverse needs of faculty while challenging the status quo to foster more equitable and inclusive educational spaces. She is a deeply valued teacher, leader, scholar and advocate, who has propelled the field of faculty development forward in immeasurable ways. Locally, she leads initiatives like Best Practice in Education Rounds, Teaching for Transformation, and the Course Design Institute within the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, while also contributing to program renewals such as the Stepping Stones and Education Scholars Programs. Nationally, Lindsay has given 39 presentations at conferences, sharing her expertise and engaging with faculty developers across Canada to promote best practices in teaching and leadership. On the international stage, Lindsay’s 47 conference presentations have had a far-reaching impact, with invitations to present at global conferences and collaborate on faculty development initiatives across institutions.
