Description
A teaching dossier is more than a professional requirement—it’s a powerful tool for reflecting on and communicating your identity, impact, and growth as an educator. With structured support, dossiers can become a compelling narrative of educational contributions, rather than a disconnected collection of documents.
This interactive workshop aims to demystify the process of dossier development by helping participants understand key components, align content with institutional expectations, and craft a narrative that authentically reflects their teaching philosophy, strengths, and impact. Through guided discussion, reflection, and hands-on planning, participants will: review core dossier components, analyze sample dossier excerpts, explore strategies for selecting and organizing evidence and begin outlining their own dossier structure and story.
By the end of the session, participants will be able to:
- Identify the essential components of a teaching dossier
- Align dossier content with institutional criteria and guidelines
- Curate evidence of teaching effectiveness and impact
- Develop a narrative that reflects their teaching philosophy and identity
- Outline a plan for assembling or strengthening their dossier
Who would benefit most from this workshop?
- Clinical Educators,
- Health Professions Faculty,
- Health Professions Educators at any career stage who are preparing a teaching dossier for academic promotion, awards, or professional reflection

12MayIn this presentation, two fundamental human characteristics underlying many interconnected problems in an era of increasing complexity serve as the starting point for a psychological solution. The Extended Professional Identity Theory (EPIT) was developed to address collaborative challenges rooted in the very human tendencies that generate them. It conceptualizes interprofessional identity as a social construct from a psychological perspective.
