Description
Communities of Practice (CoPs) are a powerful way to build shared learning, connection, and sustained change. Their impact, however, depends on being grounded in education science and designed with clear purpose. In this interactive workshop, participants will gain a practical understanding of the theoretical foundations of CoPs and how they can be used effectively (including virtual and hybrid options). We will examine best practices for launching and sustaining CoPs and work through common implementation challenges, such as variable attendance, small group dynamics, and onboarding new participants. Participants will leave with clearly articulated goals for their own CoP, consider accessibility needs, and brainstorm aligned activities and logistical decisions to support successful implementation.
