Description
General Membership is the CFD's way of engaging and fostering a sense of community for individuals engaged in health professions education and those who are looking for greater connection to the CFD. General Membership is for any individual looking to become a member at the CFD.
General membership gives you access to membership benefits for the academic year (September 1st to June 30th).
Please Note:
- Membership is FREE for Unity Health Toronto staff, physicians, learners and patient/family partners and Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto staff, faculty (incl. status only) and learners. You must register yourself every year (free of charge) to receive the benefits.
- If you a participant in one of our longitudinal programs (3 months +), you have been automatically enrolled into the General Individual Membership category. No action is required.
- If you are teaching in one of our programs during the academic year, or if you were a part of a curriculum development working group you have been automatically enrolled into the Faculty Membership category. No action is required.

29AprThis workshop provides a foundational overview of implementing simulation into current practice by broadly introducing essential concepts of simulation. Participant will explore the various applications of simulation, and identify opportunities to apply simulation into current practice.

5MayThe Medical Education Strategic Research Grant aims to support projects with the potential to have impact upon the continuum of medical education at the Temerty Faculty of Medicine and beyond. Research funded through this grant will bring together multidisciplinary teams of experienced researchers and scholars to collaborate across the continuum and directly impact health professions education.

6MayThis Community of Practice will explore both discipline specific issues and issues shared by all academic physicians. You will hear the personal stories of our panelists, and you will have an opportunity to share your perspective. We will discuss how to get started with a late career transition, professional identity, logistical issues, psychological challenges, and creative activities and opportunities will be explored.
