Description

This is an interactive workshop designed specifically for health professions educators who are beginning or wanting to grow in their journey of becoming an effective facilitator. Whether you’re facilitating clinical rounds, creating workshops, or leading a journal club this session will help you build confidence and learn foundational facilitation skills to effectively engage learners (in virtual or in-person contexts). Through guided discussions and hands-on practice, participants will explore key principles of facilitation, and practical techniques for managing group dynamics, encouraging participation and fostering inclusive and safe(r) learning environments.  

 

By the end of this workshop participants will be able to: 

  • Identify key principles and best practices for virtual and in person group facilitation 

  • Identify different tools that can be used for fostering engagement in learning environments

  • Describe the process of setting up a learning environment designed to be safe(r) for participants

 

Who would benefit most from this workshop?

Health care workers, academic faculty, clinical educators, leaders or support staff leading group learning activities.
