Description
This workshop is for the health professional or educator who is considering implementing simulation practice at their hospital site and/or academic institution. This interactive workshop is facilitated by an interprofessional faculty of simulation educators. The workshop’s overarching goal is to provide a foundational overview of implementing simulation into current practice by broadly introducing essential concepts of simulation. Participants will leave with a general understanding of simulation and how it can be used to enhance practice.
By the end of this workshop, the participants will be able to define simulation as a tool, describe essential concepts required to facilitate a simulation session, explore the various applications of simulation, and identify opportunities to apply simulation into current practice.
