Betty is an evaluation scientist-practitioner at the Centre for Faculty Development. Her program of research is in Evaluation Science. She advances research on the practice of program evaluation, drawing on intersecting theories of evaluation, education, and organizational behaviour (given her PhD in Organizational Psychology). Betty is a committed Credentialed Evaluator with the Canadian Evaluation Society and she boasts an ever-expanding portfolio of multi-method evaluation projects across the spectrum of health professions education.
Betty’s scientific work explores questions of evaluation utilization, evaluation ethics, and the cultural and political environments that shape how evaluation is practiced and used. She is continually developing and evolving conceptual frameworks and other methodological tools to support comprehensive program evaluations. Betty is passionate about developing evaluation science within faculty development including building capacity for high quality evaluation practice.
