Are you new to curriculum design or looking to refresh your knowledge? This interactive session is ideal for those stepping into education roles or exploring curriculum development, particularly in the context of planning workshops—however, the principles learned can be applied to various educational settings.

Through engaging activities, participants will learn how to set informed learning goals and objectives, plan learner assessments and choose effective content and teaching strategies to ensure their curriculum supports diverse learners and fosters inclusive learning environments.

By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the key principles of curriculum design
  • Demonstrate how to align goals, objectives, teaching strategies, and assessments
  • Identify how to integrate equity considerations into each step of the curriculum design process

 

Who would benefit most from this workshop?

This workshop is for health professionals and/or educators who are new to curriculum design or are looking to refresh existing knowledge around curriculum design in health professions education.
