Application Process
- Review the program description and details of the Education Scholars Program here.
- To apply to ESP, please follow the following steps:
- Create a CFD User Account. You can do so by clicking If you have already created an account, click here to log in. Please note you will be required to set up a new account and password for our new website. We will connect your account with your previous CFD event records.
- You will receive an activation link immediately (check your junk mail). Once your account is activated, please log in and complete your online profile by selecting “My profile” from the options on the left hand side of the page.
- You may consider purchasing CFD membership if you don’t already have it, in order to take advantage of discounted tuition rates for ESP for CFD members. Membership is FREE for Unity Health Toronto staff, physicians, learners and patient/family partners and Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto staff, faculty (incl. status only) and learners.

*Member Tuition rates are only applicable to CFD Members. You must be registered as a CFD member prior to submitting your application to receive the member rates. CFD General Membership is $90/person for the year. Access and Inclusion Bursary
We have established this Bursary to enhance financial support, recognizing that funding access varies across health professions and institutions. Our available funds for this Bursary vary from year to year, and therefore the number of bursaries we can award will vary and become available each winter.

October 6-8, 2025 – Module 1 (3 day in-person)
November 4,2025 – 3-hour in-person group session
December 2, 2025 – 3-hour in-person group session
January 20, 2026– 3-hour in-person group session
1 self-scheduled 1:1 coaching (1 hour each)
Unit 2: Education Scholars as a Developer
February 9-21, 2026 – Module 2 (3 day in-person)
March 10, 2026 – 3-hour in-person group session
April 7, 2025 – 3-hour in-person group session
*1 self-scheduled 1:1 coaching (1 hour each)
Unit 3: Education Scholar as Evaluator
May 4-6, 2026 – Module 3 (3 day in-person)
May 26, 2026 – 3-hour in-person group session
*1 self-scheduled 1:1 coaching (1 hour each)
Year 2
Unit 4: Education Scholar as a change Agent
October 5-7, 2026 – Module 4 (3 day in-person)
November 3, 2026 – 3-hour in-person group session
December 1, 2026 – 3-hour in-person group session
January 19, 2027 3-hour in-person group session
*1 self-scheduled 1:1 coaching (1 hour each)
Unit 5: Consolidation
February 8-10, 2027 – Module 5 (3 day in-person)
March 9, 2027 – 3-hour in-person group session
April 6 ,2027 3-hour in-person group session
May 4, 2027 – 3-hour in-person group session
*2 self-scheduled 1:1 coaching (1 hour each)
June 1, 2027 – Showcase/Graduation (in-person)
*Participants are responsible for scheduling their 1:1 coaching sessions with their assigned coaches.
