Dr. Shazeen Suleman (she/her) is a staff physician in the Women and Children's Health Program at St. Michael's Hospital, Unity Health Toronto and an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto. She is the physician lead for the Newcomer to Canada Clinic, which provides inter-disciplinary care for immigrant, refugee and undocumented children new to Canada with medical or psychosocial complexity. Her research interests include improving access to health care for newcomer children, and the implementation and evaluation of evidence-based programs to support children experiencing social or economic marginalization. She has a long history of community advocacy, both at the grassroots and institutional levels.
