Good luck Betty!

Betty Onyura, will be leaving her role as Associate Director, Evaluation and Knowledge Mobilization at the CFD, effective September 7th 2022, to pursue a new exciting career opportunity. Betty has held progressive roles at the CFD over the past 10 years. Most recently, she has played a leading role in rethinking and reimagining the status quo for program evaluation research and practice in health professions education. This has included striking exciting new national and international collaborations, providing leadership and education on evaluation strategy, as well as advancing a research program on evaluation and implementation science, with funding awarded at the national level.

We are proud to see Betty continue to grow as a leader and leverage these successes in her new leadership role as the Director Knowledge Mobilization, for the Provincial System Support Program at CAMH. We are equally delighted that, in her new role, Betty will retain strong links to the CFD and Health Professions Education (HPE) community. Specifically, she will continue to be a faculty member in the CFD’s Stepping Stones Program and will remain an affiliated scientist with Unity Health. Additionally, she remains a cross-appointed scientist at the Wilson Centre where she will be supervising two new fellows in 2022/2023, and teaching in the HPER, PhD program.

We will miss Betty’s spirit of collaboration, fresh ideas, expertise, and her commitment to continuous improvement and innovation at the CFD.  She has deeply invested her time, energy and expertise to mentoring so many that have been privileged to work and learn from her within the CFD and across our academic health system.

Please join us in congratulating Betty on her new position, as we wish her every success as she embarks on this new leadership role.  We are grateful that we will be able to continue our collaboration with her as a leader in our system.  For more information about the CFD Associate Director, Evaluation & Knowledge Mobilization role, please visit: https://centreforfacdev.ca/join-our-team/
