Description
Healthy collaborations foster creativity and enhance individuals' capacity to execute successful educational innovation, research, and scholarship. This workshop is for individuals (or groups) working within the academic health sciences system who are considering getting involved in (or currently involved in) in education scholarship including the scholarship of teaching (program development and innovation), discovery (research), and evaluation.
Through interactive lectures, practical exercises, group discussions, and examination of relevant theoretically informed strategies, we will examine ideas around what healthy and successful academic collaboration looks like. We will address issues surrounding authorship ethics, team composition, and scholarly project management among others.
By the end of the workshop, participants should acquire both insight and strategies on how to cultivate strategic and productive collaborations within our academic health sciences system. You should leave this session better positioned to inspire and sustain collaborative education scholarship in your own practice.
