Description

This workshop is designed for participants to feel more prepared and confident in taking action in the space of allyship and microinterventions, and doing so authentically at the different levels in which they operate.  We will explore and unpack common barriers and insecurities in taking on a more active role of allyship.  Participants will complete a structured critical process that culminates in specific strategies for recognizing opportunities for allyship, and practicing and debriefing what to say and/or do.

**We strongly recommend participants arrive having taking the other Stepping Stones workshops “Who’s Got The Power?: Barriers and Opportunities in Advancing Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging” and “Whose land is it?:  Relationship to land and each other through colonization”, or external learning that provides a working understanding of privilege, systemic oppression, bias, stereotype, white supremacy, anti-oppression, colonization, and identity.
