Description
Introductions are an intrinsic part of our educational experience - the inception of all learning environments in which we teach and learn. However, we often proceed with the assumption that the learning “starts” afterwards. Being thoughtful about the choices we make in how we introduce ourselves as educators, and ask learners to introduce themselves, can have significant implications for the learner experiences with regards to positionality and psychology safety. This fun and interactive session will explore the impacts and opportunities of introductions, and support Members to align introductions with their education goals.
