Risk or Reward: Using implicit bias to understand inequality in organizations

Dialogue and Debate Series event

No events to show

Description

We are joined for this Dialogue and Debate Series event by Dr. Leanne Son Hing and Dr. Nouman Ashraf.  Our two speakers bring extensive research and experiential expertise on inequality in organizations. We will encourage community participation via moderation discussion and an open Q & A session.

Our speakers explore provocative questions about implicit bias and the institutional focus on this issue. They share research evidence and provide practical suggestions on how to attend to inequality in organizations.

  • Are there good reasons to be concerned about implicit bias?
  • Does research evidence support organizational focus on addressing implicit bias?
  • Is there value to the discomfort that can come along with a focus on bias?
  • How can organizations more effectively enact equitable and inclusive practices?
